(Espionage isn't exactly Mikasa's forte, but she can make it work. She's been here long enough to get a decent sense of the world's fashion and welcomes not needing to wear anything too heavy. On the other hand, the formalwear is new to her and there's a part of the soldier that'd rather go about the day with her uniform and maneuvering gear.
But that'd defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?
After she decides the most important part of her outfit be the leg room, the soldier puts something pretty alright together, in her opinion. And look at that, she even ditched her regular scarf! It's traded out for something to go with her dress! The trick from here would be getting her to smile more often...)
I think bringing a date would sell our cover.
(She'll mention to your character while waiting around.)
...If you're interested.
b/c
(Gambling...yeah, she knows how addictive this can get. Mostly it was simple card games back home and, let's be real: she's seen enough of this sort of thing in Prisma. She never understood the appeal of it herself, but if she wants to blend in, it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.
The nice thing about looking like she's planning out three different ways to kill you? It makes for a damn good poker face. Mikasa may not be too familiar with the game itself, but looks alone have gotten her a few wins, something that has her smiling faintly as she leaves the table with her winnings.)
I think I'm getting used to this. Would you care for a drink? I'll treat.

(Okay, so Mikasa felt like she was trailing behind all these superpowered people on the day to day, but here, where a majority of your progress comes down to raw skill? She's feeling pretty pleased with herself. Not once did she neglect her training, so cheating thugs and weird animal-themed fighters getting in her way? Nah. They're not pulling a fast one on Mikasa; she paid extra for her dress to have the leg room.
Besides, if no one's gonna mind them pulling out weapons, then they won't mind her weaponizing her scarf to disarm them. It's cool.
But now the tournament puts you against her, for better or worse, and she doesn't seem too keen on holding back any.)
I'm afraid this time, there's no good luck hug. After the match, we can discuss something.
['her treat' his fluffy orange butt, half of that money was his a few minutes ago! How was he supposed to contend with a poker face like that?!
And it wasn't his fault that he couldn't control his tail wagging!
Still, it was all in the name of their mission. ...And after the thrashing he'd taken at the tables, he may as well let some of it go to getting him some drinks.]
Sure, may as well walk away from this place with something.
You still did well; arguably, it's better than winning and gaining that much attention.
(She still had to be mindful of her surroundings and, thankfully, already seldom trusts people. Red likely isn't the only one upset at losing their money to her...)
"...I'm not much of a drinker, if that's what you're askin'." And he had to speak that quietly, to boot, lest the two of them stick out even more in a place like this.
"Looks like they've got some fancy ones at that table over there. Feelin' like you've still got some luck in you?"
"Acknowledging it may have it run out faster. That said, I'm willing to give it a try."
Because they'll look even more out of place if they don't do even that much. Putting the fate of her drink at the hands of a roulette table...if Mikasa cared for gambling, she might enjoy the idea. For now, she's wearing a smile and leaning over the counter, taking her chances with a roll of the dial, watching the ball tumble with her hand on her cheek.
"24 for the lady! That's a new blue moon."
Much to Mikasa's surprise, her drink is...less of a drink and more of a dessert. Ice cream with sprinkles and cotton candy...a combination that'd make a child excited, no doubt, but for her? This is a roulette table, after all; what did she expect.
"...How colorful. It takes me back to when I was little."
Ice cream? Sprinkles? Sweets?! Red all but shoved her aside to poke his head in over the table. "Hey, lemme get in on that! Put me down on--"
and he slapped down a few chips on whatever slot first caught his eye. "--this one!"
...It took him a couple spins before he managed to guess correctly, of course, but eventually he managed to snag a win on red and was promptly given...
huh. Why did his look different? At least Inferno Werewolf Margarita was a pretty cool name.
[Bring a date, huh? Not a bad idea for a cover- better than a lone lady attending an underground tournament party to let loose for ambiguous reasons.
Soundwave, who looks... different this time, older and taller, turns towards Mikasa while adjusting the blue dress back zipper in preparation, raising a brow with a hint of interest.]
... Think we'd look convincing together? [He's willing to go through with her suggestion, even though he's never been on a date before.]

I don't particularly care for alcohol. Do you?
