The music blasting from the performance is...cheerful. Moreso than what she's used to. People on the street are dancing to it, enjoying it and each other. If nothing else, it was a welcome change to the despair of fearing titans and pastors on the street preaching about the end of days. It was peaceful, something she could enjoy. She catches herself swaying to the rhythm of the music a few times and stops herself, but the opportunity to unwind is hard to ignore.
Same for the need to eat. Octopus is new to her; last she checked, the ocean was pretty much a myth and anything beyond your standard fish was pretty unknown. Still, it wasn't bad. Odd, for sure, especially with all of the tentacles everywhere. The chocolate fondue fountain is...interesting to look at. And also completely new to her! Can you blame her for wanting to try it? Or how trying it seems to draw her attention to your character?)

Day 2 – B
(The idea was to get people to safety, not be someone who needed to be saved! In her haste, Mikasa finds herself too exposed to the pollen and, by severing a vine aimed for someone else, finds herself cutting through a flower and being struck with that pollen. It doesn't get in her eyes directly, though they do turn white in response. The people targeted escape safely, but before the soldier can leave, she falls to her knees, keeping herself steady with her swords planted into the ground with a shaky grip. She tries to force herself back up, but finds herself breathless and tired. It's hard to move, but she has to keep going...
...She could use a little help here.)
Day 3 - ⚔
(Now this she can do. Day 3 goes a lot better for her, now that she's experienced what the plant can do firsthand. Grappling hooks jut out towards the side of a building and the sound of zipping can be heard, along with a ferocious slash that completely severs a tentacle. Through her maneuvering gear, Mikasa can be seen roaming through the city with remarkable agility, swinging between buildings and cutting down bits of the plant with acute precision.
Another clean cut leaks sap out of the tentacle as it flops to the ground, giving her a moment to touch back onto the ground and firmly shake the substance off of her blades.)
It was no accident that my gear came with me, was it...?
I suppose a lot of this is special to me in return; everything here seems more advanced than anything back home. Unless they have titans to exterminate, I don't what they would need me for.
Yes. Deformed human-like creatures that can vary from 3 meters to even 60 in height. They draw power from the sun and solely exist to eat people. No one knows why. What we do know is how to kill them: a deep enough slash across the nape of their neck will kill them in one pass. They regenerate too quickly otherwise.
Fortunately, I haven't found a trace of them here.
(It takes Mikasa a moment to process that. A glance in Velvet's direction is soon replaced by the wide-eyed, red faced look of clarity. Somehow, she hadn't even processed the tentacle motif as anything phallic; why would her mind go in that direction anyway?)

Flinging the clothes over his shoulder, he lined up and fired off few shots with the gunblade, aiming right for one of those friskier vines that was looking to interrupt Mikasa's, uh... gardening spree.]
(She was so focused on covering Red that she fought through a good chunk of them in a short span of time. You had to be mobile when fighting titans; their colossal strength could kill a human in one blow and only had so many weaknesses. These plants, while more nimble, were far less of a threat to her.
There's a sizable mess of sap on the ground by the time Red's finished and another tendril flopping lifelessly as he calls out to her.)
Magic? Youkai? Talking about these things during a festival about squid people? That's a lot for her to take in right now, but Mikasa's keeping a straight face through the confusion.
"I don't know. This isn't the world I know, so maybe everyone else can fly and they're choosing not to. No one can do that where I'm from."
A slight frown. "So you're not from here, either."
"Nope! I'm from a very different place. A place called Gensokyo. Creatures like me all decided to move there since humans took over everywhere else and we couldn't survive. So, instead, we have our own little peaceful bit of land. I live underground!"
She drifted over, very much in Mikasa's space. "What was your home like?"
Gensokyo...Mikasa's never heard that name back home, but the description hints at another world entirely. There's no way this place could exist where she's from. Especially since...
"...The last of mankind resides behind three walls intended to protect us from titans. They prey off of humans despite no need for sustenance. The world outside those walls remains a complete mystery after taking sanctuary there for over a century. Titans broke through the outermost wall years ago and the second wall not long before I arrived here. Even without the threat of titans, the people are a threat to themselves and those around them. It's a cruel, unforgiving world that would allow even the kindest of souls to die cold and alone..."
Mikasa catches herself partway through her explanation. Maybe that's a bit much to dump on a child as wide-eyed as this one.
"...But there are soldiers like me who fight to protect innocent people. We were in the middle of a battle before I awoke here, so I'm still adjusting to the shift in tone."
(Here she is putting in an honest effort while he's maybe partially trying and having fun with it. The crazy thing is? He's good. Is it possible he's holding back?)
(Espionage isn't exactly Mikasa's forte, but she can make it work. She's been here long enough to get a decent sense of the world's fashion and welcomes not needing to wear anything too heavy. On the other hand, the formalwear is new to her and there's a part of the soldier that'd rather go about the day with her uniform and maneuvering gear.

After she decides the most important part of her outfit be the leg room, the soldier puts something pretty alright together, in her opinion. And look at that, she even ditched her regular scarf! It's traded out for something to go with her dress! The trick from here would be getting her to smile more often...)

(Gambling...yeah, she knows how addictive this can get. Mostly it was simple card games back home and, let's be real: she's seen enough of this sort of thing in Prisma. She never understood the appeal of it herself, but if she wants to blend in, it wouldn't hurt to give it a go.

Mikasa may not be too familiar with the game itself, but looks alone have gotten her a few wins, something that has her smiling faintly as she leaves the table with her winnings.)
